1. 研究目的与意义（文献综述）
Pirates of the Caribbean is a good entertainmentwork for the audience and high box office return for the producer. At the sametime, it has also attracted the research attention of relevant scholars:
WangKun and Xu Ying analyzed the reasons for the movie’s popularity from theperspectives of pirate culture, magic elements, comedy elements, protagonistcharm and special effects in TheMysterious Voyage of the Supernatural—theSecret Formula of High Box Office Returns of Pirates of the Caribbean(2007).
LiangChangming, Zhang Shuhong and Bian Yuzhu analyzed the mainstream Americanvalues, as well as the consciousness of American cultural hegemony hidden behindthe film in Pirates of the Caribbean andthe Cultural Hegemony (2009).
2. 研究的基本内容与方案
Sceneis a concept in drama and film, but it has new interpretation and applicationin marketing. If the core of the scene in film is the overall “scene”, then thecore of the scene in marketing is people. Postmodernism is not a completelyclear concept yet, but we can feel the increasingly significant aesthetictendency of postmodernism in the current society. Anti-rationality,anti-centralism and subversion of tradition are welcomed by many people, whichexactly reflect the change of aesthetics in the context of postmodernism.
Illogicalityand absurdity of characters and plot in scene construction in the series film Pirates of the Caribbean all shows astrong sense of postmodernism. This exactly reflects the keen perception of theproducers and their conformity to the aesthetic changes in the market. Thispaper will focus on the postmodern characteristics in scene construction of Pirates of the Caribbean, will demonstratein detail how it captures the audience’s appreciation, and will use thecreation of characters and scenes to highlight the postmodern spirit. Finally,evaluate the reference value of this film construction method in Pirates of the Caribbean.
Qualitativeanalysis such as literature analysis method and case study method is adopted inthis study. Data illustration such as charts is appropriately used. Examplesanalyzed in the paper are selected from the Piratesof the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: DeadMan’s Chest, Pirates of Caribbean: At World’s End. Objective and scientificresearch is conducted to explore the postmodern characteristics in Pirates of Caribbean.
