3. 国内外研究现状

In recent years, many scholars have made a thorough study of various factors affecting translation from different perspectives. And the influence of the differences of thinking modes on translation cannot be ignored; so many experts and scholars have also made a lot of conclusions about it.Foreign research status:With regard to the relationship between thought and language, the American linguist B.L. Wolf inherited his teacher Sapir#8217;s theory; put forward the famous Wolf Hypothesis that different ethnic language with thinking characteristics of the nation. Therefore, we cannot ignore the influence of thinking differences on translation during the translation process. Eugene A.Nida, a famous American translator. The core concept of Nida''''s theory is 'functional equivalence''. The so-called 'functional equivalence' means that the translation does not seek the rigid correspondence of the literal surface, but the equivalence between the two languages. In order to reduce the differences between the source language and the target language, Eugene A.Nida puts forward the famous dynamic equivalence translation theory from the linguistic point of view, namely, functional equivalence'. In this theory, he pointed out that 'translation is the most appropriate, natural and equivalent language to reproduce the source language information from semantics to style'. Nida''''s definition of translation points out that translation is not only the equivalence of lexical meaning, but also the equivalence of semantics, style and genre. The information conveyed by translation has both surface and deep cultural information.Domestic research status:In China, we have many excellent translators who have published relatively sophisticated translation theory, which make great effort to the cause of translation. Zhang Peiji, a famous Chinese translator, who published the book A Course in English-Chinese Translation. This book is well-known in the teaching program and help students learn how to translate well. Because it mainly and simply expounds the basic theoretical knowledge of translation; introduces a serious of commonly used methods and skills in English-Chinese translation through the comparison of two languages and uses of a large number of translation examples. And many other scholars have achieved some similar translation theories. The differences of thinking modes between English and Chinese can be divided into relative types. The main types of different modes of thinking between English and Chinese are Concrete thinking mode and Abstract thinking mode, Synthetic thinking mode and Analytic thinking mode, Ontological thinking mode and Objective thinking mode, and Curvilinear Thinking Mode and Linear Thinking Mode. If we can know these different thinking modes well, it will be easier to do translation work.
